A VERY VERY Merry Christmas

Kade & D.J. are only 5 days apart. It really is time for DJ to go on a diet!

We had such a good time during the holidays that we are just recovering from it all. It has taken me forever to get our Christmas pictures posted. I don't have time to give you the whole spill on what we did this holiday so here is the quick version.

-Spent Christmas Eve here in St. George with just our little family of five. I loved having my own Christmas Eve with just us. Ryan made a wonderful meal, the kids put together and decorated a gingerbread house, we each opened one present and pajamas, we watched the nativity story on dvd, and we read Christmas books.

-Kids all loved there Christmas presents from Santa and from everyone else. DJ had a great first Christmas. He loved playing in all of the wrapping paper.

-Our family got Jazz tickets from Santa this year again so we went to a game on the 26th. We stayed with Grandma Suzie and Terry that night. It was great to see their new home all put together. They did a great job.

-Went to Idaho Falls for the remainder of the holiday. New Years Eve we had a big party. The whole family went bowling and than we all stayed up until midnight...even the kids. I haven't stayed up for New Years in forever. My mom and dad planned meals for every night we were there. It was great and the meals were awesome. Thanks Mom...and Dad. The kids had a blast with their cousins.

-Our trip did not have a happy ending. The kids and I all ended up getting strep throat. Peyton and I had to go to instacare in Idaho Falls. The other two got it when we got back. Than to top it all off we all got some weird viral thing afterward that felt like a cold but with really bad muscle aches. We are all still recovering.

-There you go...the quick version. All in all we had a great time with all of our families. We love you all!!

Snow Day!

They cancelled school this past week because of the snow. It kind of made me laugh because we didn't have more than an inch or two, but I guess the school buses are not equipped for this type of weather. Also, there are very few snow plows in the area. I am just from Idaho and we NEVER had a snow day unless we were actually "snowed in". Oh well...I loved having Peyton home all day and being able to go play in the snow. We had a great sledding hill at the park behind our house. The kids had a great time.

O' Christmas Tree How I love thee...hee hee

Yes..I am in love with a tree. I have wanted a tree like this for many many years, and this year I finally have it. Thanks to a great sale at Ben Franklin and Krumpets I was able to put it together for pretty cheap. I secretly think Ryan is jealous of it because I just like to sit and stare at it. I'm a dork...I know, but whatever makes you happy right. The kids love it as well. Peyton made me feel so good, after seeing it completed for the first time he said, "Mom it looks like a jubilee tree!" Yeah!!!

I absolutely love Christmas time. I love everything about it. I love the smells, the tree, the decorations, the treats...but most of all I love the spirit of it all. It is a wonderful feeling and it always takes me back to when I was a kid. My parents were great at teaching us the true meaning of Christmas as well at teaching us that giving is a much greater gift than recieving. I can only hope that I can pass that on to my kids.

I was very proud of my two boys this week. They decided to sneak into their Uncle Chris's apartment and set up a tree for him while he was gone to work. They put the tree together and decorated it with blue lights and blue and orange ornaments (bronco colors...of course!!) I thought this was very thoughtful of them. It was so funny because Jack just kept saying, "Oh no, Uncle Chris is going to be so mad at me!" He was so relieved when Uncle Chris called and wasn't mad at all and liked the tree.

This is a picture of my Christmas Star. I had one for Halloween that I mod podged on, but on this one I used magnet paper instead. I glued the scrapbook paper onto the magnetic sheet and placed it on the star. I figured that way I can just change it out each season/holiday. I am very excited about how it turned out and it was super easy.

We are most thankful for our families

We are Thankful for our chubby, healthy baby. I love this new picture of D.J. I am just learning how to use photoshop, and this one was fun to edit. It turned out great. I'm so excited.

Peyton loves his cousin Kade, but he's a little bummed that Kade beat him out on the big eyed contest. Sorry buddy he's got you beat BIG time.

We had breakfast with the Low family at Angie's. Hailey and Hannah sure liked D.J. They are such cute girls. I hope you are okay with me posting their picture Michelle, but these were just too cute.

We were able to visit Grandma Mary while we were in Logan. She is such a wonderful, amazing person. We love her so much.

The Boudrero cousins....well, most of them. Jack had to flash a smile in there as usual.

Scout, Dominique, and I attempted to go see Twilight on Saturday night. We were pretty bummed when we found out that it had been sold out. We are all obsessed with EDWARD!! So instead we went out to dinner and to the mall. It was so much fun having a girls night out. I miss those.

The Boudrero's

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. It was a bit crazy getting from one place to the next and trying to see everyone, but it all worked out and we had a great time. We spent Thanksgiving day with Grandma Suzie and Terry. We are so thankful that they had us even though they were in the middle of buying/moving into their very first home. We spent Thursday doing the usual stuff...stuffing our faces full of food and watching football. It was a bummer that none of the games were that great. On Friday the boys helped Grandma move. We are so excited for them and we wish them luck unpacking....sorry we couldn't stay and help.

Friday night our family went to the Jazz game. We love watching the games live even if our seats are in the nosebleeds.

Saturday we traveled to Logan to visit with Uncle Tanner. Tanner is leaving on an LDS mission to Detroit, Michigan on December 10th. We are so proud of him and we know that he will make a great missionary. Good Luck Tanner! He did a wonderful job speaking in church on Sunday. After church there was a lunch and open house at Steve & Marianne's new home (which is beautiful by the way). It was so nice to be able to see everyone.

In the process of all this traveling we were able to meet up with Buddy & Jen in Brigham City, Heidi, Jordyn, Allie, and Grandma Cindy in Logan, visit with our good friends the Low's, and Peyton was able to have a sleep over with his best friend David (from Logan). Crazy...I know. We are all exhausted and a little cranky from the long ride home, but it was well worth it. We are so Thankful for our families. We love you all!!

Fat & Flexible

Our little brown-eyed baby will be 6 months on the 29th of this month. I cannot believe how fast he has grown up. He is so mobile already. I thought for sure since he is slightly "large" that he would be slow at everything, but he has already starting crawling/scooting. It is very fun to watch him try to get around, but it is also frustrating because he gets into everything. He is very flexible for how fat he is. He can get himself into crawling position and than push himself up on his tippy-toes. We are all impressed with this move (picture below). He seems to manage to get himself stuck all over. I have found him scooting backwards under the couch and stuck in the corner. He is so much fun. I love this age.
