First Day of School

Such an important day deserves a blog posting...I think my last post was the first day of school last year...ha ha.

Today was Peyton's first day being a 5th grader. He is the funniest kid...you would think by age ten he would not want his mom around, but he still does. I love it. He wanted me to drive him to school and help him find his class. What a good kid he is. He has a football game tonight so he wore his jersey to school...with his name on the back. He is getting too old.

Jack is a different story...this was his first day at kindergarten. He could have cared less if I had taken him or not. He led me to his class, found his hanger for his back-pack, and walked over to his table to sit down. He didn't say good-bye or looked worried. His only concern was that the toilet in the in-class bathroom was tiny and that he was going to have to pee like a girl. I probably shouldn't share that with everyone, but I thought it was hilarious!

D.J. thinks that he is going to "stool" too. I asked him what he was going to do without his brothers here and he said... "mom, i dot a bat pat, I go to my stool!" (translation...I have a back-pack and I can go to my school.) We all started laughing at him. He brought his back-pack in with him to drop off Jack and hung it up. He sat down by Jack and looked around. Than he said "o-tay Jat wets doe home" ...it was so funny. It was sad when we left he hugged Jack and kissed his cheek. Jack is his best buddy.
Well..here's to another great school year. I am so proud of my boys!!
